Jamaica Independance day brings out the non-stop parties . Tickets for the event run $150.00 for weekend party pass. UPDATED WEDNESDAY JUNE 9, 2010 DID YOU MISS THE LARGEST URBAN BEACH WEEK EVENT IN THE WORLD IN MIAMI? MIAMI DURING MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND IS CRAZY. HERE ARE A FEW COMMENTS FROM LAST YEAR'S ATTENDEES TESTIMONIALS FROM MIAMI URBAN BEACH WEEK I am 47 and this was my second time attending urban beach week in miami. I may be old but young at heart. I loved every minute of it. It was a girls weekend out and we had a ball. My favorite experience that weekend was going to club Mansion and seeing my favorite rappers perform especially Rick Ross n T.I.. There was a lot to see and do just not enough hours in the day to do it all. Shout out to Wet Willies!!! Those drinks are the bomb, and Kenny at Lucky Tattoo, I just luv my new tat. Cant wait til 2012 cause I'll be back..... ----------- I name is Daryl Streety, 35, from Detroit, MI , This is my 5th time to Urban Beach Week ( and my 1st time to Sizzle ), And when I 1st arrived, it did rained for a few seconds, but after that it was on an popping. Many Celebs were throwing events, including Chris Brown Bday party at club Karma ( which was banging ), and Puffy, Busta, Nicki Minaj as well as others. On the surface for a 1st timer, it was great, but as a veteran of Urban Beach week I can safely say, That you could definitely tell that the recession, the oil spill, etc definitely kept a lot of people away. The police were More visibility present than ever, and certain streets were baracaded to make it more conjested than normal. This years population of this event prob went from 650,000 to 400,000. Still a lot of people , but not how it use to be. Still had fun though --------------------------------- Me and my lady went to south beach miami which was new experience for the both us. We definately had a good time, we attended the best of the best concert at bicentenial park, where there were a variety of reggae groups that performed but the main attraction was rick ross, dj khaled, p diddy, busta rhymes, and my boy gucci mane. The club scene was crazy, filled to capacity the only problem was club cameo does real shadey buisness. I paid for two vip tickets and I received no table, no bottle just general admission, so for future refference do not any advanced purchases these night clubs. The beach was really nice. Had the chance to enjoy myself with no violence big ups to miami and the other people in attendance because they know how to kick it. NOT TO MENTION i was also celebrating my birthdayMay 27th... so i brought Miami a little taste of Chicago they will never forget! Can't wait to do it again next year!
